How to Update Your Display Name & Industry on Instagram

On a Business Profile

Step One: Log in to Instagram from your phone, using the app, and tap to your profile.

Step Two: Currently, when you’re logged in, there’s an “Edit Profile” button” visible right on your profile. Tap this.

Step Three: At the top of the dashboard that appears, right underneath the option to change your profile photo, is a field called “Name.” Tap this to open a keyboard to type in the name you want to use.

Step Four: Lower on this same dashboard, below the section with the heading, “Public Business Information,” there’s an option to open a section called Category. Tap this and browse until you find the category that best fits your situation.

Step Five: When you’ve made all desired changes, tap “Done” in the top right corner of the screen!
