Meet AG's Models! Real women who can take YOUR shoot to the next level
Models can make a huge difference in your online engagement.
In fact, as a fun exercise, I challenge you to go check out some of your favorite brand-based Instagram accounts and see which photos and videos stand out to you the most. As a rule, does your favorite content include people and faces? For most folks, the answer will be yes!
Human beings are all about personal connection—when we see people in photos and video, especially people who embody a life or style we like and find familiar, we naturally gravitate to them. It makes us pay closer attention.
We also like content that contains human elements because a human element provides context—lifestyle context, color context, size, proportion. It can tell us how a piece is designed to be worn or styled. Having a person in your photos paints a fuller picture.
You can see why it’s important at AG that we have a range of models at our disposal who can help you provide more context for your product, service, or food. Thus, here are some faces you may want to include in your next shoot!
Model No. 1: Isa
Isa came my way by happenstance—a brand wanted to use her as a model without my even knowing she existed. But we absolutely clicked on our first shoot at York Harbor Beach, and she agreed to be an AG regular!
Since most of the brands we work with at AG are millennial and Gen-Y brands that need age-ambiguous women of multiple sizes and races (young and healthy-looking but still the right age to be a working professional with an expendable income), Isa is a perfect model candidate. And she knocks it out of the park!
Isa is tall with a petite frame. She is a WOC local to the seacoast!
Model No. 2: Kelsey
Kelsey, who came to me by way of Mellow Botanical, has modeled for AG on multiple projects, from floral shoots to bath and beauty.
A business owner herself, Kelsey is the hair expert behind Seventh House Studio in Portsmouth—and she has excellent style!
If you’re looking for a model that feels modern and edgy, but still down-to-earth and approachable, Kelsey might be a good fit. She has olive skin, tattoos, and a warm smile.
Model No. 3: Emily
Emily is actually an old schoolmate of mine who raised her hand a while back when I put a model call out on social media… and wow, did she rise to the occasion!
Emily, a seacoast mother of twins who is living her best life, has the closest thing to flawless skin that I’ve ever seen, as well as bright eyes, and thick, shiny hair. You also really get your bang for your buck with Emily because she’s very confident on camera, with a photogenic smile, so end up with lots of winner shots!
Emily is average-to-tall, with a very slender and elegant build.
Model No. 4: Taylor
Taylor is actually one of the literal AG family, as she is my sister-in-law! She is a nutritionist and mother with a contagious smile. She also has a can-do attitude and will be willing to go the distance to get the creative shots you need.
Taylor is of average height, with a heart-shaped face, big smile, and dark eyes. Her hair color changes a bit within a natural-looking range.
Model No. 5: Holly
Holly is one of my original models, in big part because she and I started businesses the same year and leaned on each other a lot during that early era. Holly is an acupuncturist, yoga instructor, and overall holistic medicine expert, as well as a bright light in every room and a good friend.
Photos with Holly in them have shown to increase engagement on Instagram, which is in no doubt due to her lovely features and sincere, inviting energy. She’s not always on the seacoast, as she splits her time between Maine and Colorado, but when she’s in town, she’s often down to participate in a shoot!
Holly is average-to-petite in build, with a caucasian complexion that browns in the summer sun.
Model No. 6: Eliza
Eliza is always down for an adventure! She’s also one of the most earnest and helpful people I know. She and I met through work years ago, and she keeps in touch to this day. She recently worked with me on a shoot for Seacoast Picnic, and she did an amazing job!
Eliza is a Maine local who would be great for outdoor lifestyle and product shoots. She is athletic and has a great energy and smile. Her hair length and tone changes, so be sure to request a recent photo if you want to work with her on an upcoming shoot!
Other Models We’ve Worked With:
Liana, Lauren, Danielle, & More
Over time, AG models shift and change a bit. Models move away or decide they don’t want to model anymore; new faces are also added to the fold periodically. If you’re thinking about a model for your next shoot, don’t think you’re restricted to the faces you see here! Think about what characteristics you’re looking for in a model or models, and let AG know so we can see if we have someone we’ve vetted already who fits the bill.
A Few More PHotos from Our Top Models!
I am happy to supply more shots of a model you’re interested in! You can also find photos of all these models sprinkled throughout the AG site.
All these women are lovely to work with and photograph very well. Although I mentioned that Holly’s photos perform well on social media, others also do well; I’ve just worked with her the longest and have seen a pattern in her photos for that reason!
Psst: I Model, Too!
Before I was a photographer (and before I was a barista), I worked as a model professionally. I did work with such brands as Pantene, Nivea, the Dress Barn, Weathervane, and Fashion Bug. I’m happy to hop on camera when a model falls through or you just want a look that I happen to work for! It does take a little longer to model and take photos at the same time, so your total number of shots may be a little lower if you use me as your primary model.
I’m quite tall, with dark hair, blue eyes, very fair skin, and an average build.
