INSTAGRAM MARKETING
in 2021
At the end of 2019, doing my annual review to see what efforts in my business had brought in the most revenue, I discovered that Instagram had brought in over $12,000 more than any other social platform.
This was without being on the platform every day, without adding any shop links, without sponsored posts, without 10K followers, and without showing my face often.
Two years later I am still increasing my revenue using Instagram, even as the platform has added lots of updates (cough, REELS!). Let’s turn my knowledge of Instagram into YOUR business success!
In this short video, get a bird’s eye-view of what could be deterring new people from following your account!
Are you making similar mistakes? You’ll get a lot out of the first module inside Instagram 102, where we’ll go over “set and forget” best practices for a profile that engages people right from their first visit!

Why some Instagram courses are overcharging and underdelivering
The steps I took to ensure this course is actionable, not abstract
What to expect down the road as Instagram changes and updates!
… you’re a creative woman in business who works on a small team or as a one-woman show
… you’ve been on Instagram a little while, so you know the general lay of the land, but right now it doesn’t feel like the app works as hard for you as you do for the app
… you bought a course years ago that just doesn’t get you results anymore (if it ever did!)
… you’ve watched your engagement and reach drop significantly in 2019 and 2020 and wonder what you’re doing wrong
… you’re frustrated with trying to decrypt and master new features, layouts, and/or algorithm updates every six months
… you’d love to increase your sales (of services, tangible products, or digital goods especially) by 10% or more
… you’ve experienced following growth on Instagram, but not profit growth (or vice versa!)
… you’re intimidated by the Instagram Reel feature, want to try it, but need a thorough lay of the land, actionable steps, and examples to get that confidence to give them a shot
… you don’t know how to write a winning caption that brings users over to your profile (and hopefully your website!)
… you’re a creative professional who doesn’t want Instagram to feel like a full-time job
If that sounds like a ridiculous question (“Of course I could make $100!”) then nothing should hold you back from investing less than $100 into your Instagram knowledge TODAY.

Either! Even though Instagram is a mobile app, the student dashboard for Instagram 102 was designed with computer access in mind—that said, absolutely all the content is also accessible from a phone. *We recommend if you are accessing the lessons from an iPhone, you download the Google Chrome app and access from there, as this browser generally provides the smoothest experience. Some students have gotten stuck in a login loop using Safari from an iPhone, which is an unfortunate flaw of the software used to deliver the course content. There are some measures you can try to stop this from happening (linked upon enrollment), but your best bet is to access from Chrome, and to try to do so from a computer.
This course contains 4 Modules, each with a range of short, actionable lessons within it. The 4 Modules cover:
Setting up your account for success, general housekeeping, and best practices on Instagram
Features you should be familiar with and what the culture is like for using each
Putting together a strategy that works for the goal you chose for your business at the beginning of the course
Resources for richer content, planning ahead, automation, and other “extras”
For the first round in 2021, this course will roll out over 2 weeks. When you enroll, you will automatically have access to all lessons in Module 1, and the subsequent Modules will unlock Mondays and Thursdays.
Yes. If you want to lock in a discount (they come via email and Instagram, so be sure to follow @alexisthegreek if you aren’t already!) or enroll before you forget, you can absolutely take this course at your own pace and in your own time. Once you enroll, you have the course for as long as it exists!
Ideally, yes. This course is called Instagram “102” because we skip over how to sign up for an account—the content is put together for the person who already has an account, even if they don’t use it consistently (yet!).
You receive a mix of video presentations and demo recordings of the Instagram app in use as your core lessons. These are viewable inside the course dashboard, which you receive instant access to upon enrolling.
In addition to the core videos, the course contains supplemental materials, including step-by-step written instructions for action steps described in the videos, short video tutorials that include me talking or demonstrating directly into the camera, a quiz, links to examples of creative uses of the platform, and free materials that I’ve made public already but which are relevant to certain lessons at hand.
