Will the presets work on both iPhone and Android versions of Lightroom?↓
Yes. Lightroom is not an exclusively iPhone app, even though at AG we primarily use iPhones for on-the-go photography.
Do these presets work in Snapseed, VSCO, or any apps besides Lightroom?↓
Unfortunately, no. These presets are designed specifically for Lightroom Mobile. You can certainly start in Lightroom to apply the preset to a photo, save the changes to your camera roll, and then open the edited image in your preferred editing app to make more adjustments.
NOTE: These presets are also only for the mobile version of Lightroom. Although they can be installed on Lightroom for desktop, they will not apply properly to images, and will look grainy or over-saturated. If you're looking for the AG Desktop Presets, click here.
What kinds of subject matter are these presets best used for?↓
These presets were originally created as desktop presets I could use for product photography, food photography, and portraiture. Not all the presets will work for all these types of photography, but you'll be able to use one or more of the presets for these specfic types of photography. I've found they work extremely well for day-to-day lifestyle use; i.e., to use with photos of pretty storefronts, floral bouquets, pretty foliage, coffee shop scenes, and so on. If you're specifically a nature or city-scape photographer, the presets may work well for many scenes in these categories, but they weren't created for such situations.
What phone do you use? Will these presets look the same on my phone?↓
The mobile photo examples I use for these presets are almost all taken on an iPhone 6s, an iPhone X, or a Samsung Galaxy S8+. (These are the devices that my partner and I use in everyday life.) We believe that because the presets have been tested on an older device, as well as newer Apple and Android devices, they are versatile to work across most if not all camera phones.
Will it be free for me to download Lightroom to use these presets?↓
Yes! These presets all work with the FREE version of Lightroom Mobile. While there are some additional features inside the app that you can subscribe to use, you won't need them for the presets to work.
Are there more mobile presets than desktop presets in the AG collections?↓
As a matter of fact, yes! We added 4 additional presets to the mobile collection because the way phone cameras respond to light is different from the way DSLR cameras and mirrorless cameras respond to light. These means you'll have more versatility... and that you'll get the mobile versions for just $1 per preset!
What's your refund policy for the presets?↓
Because these are a digital product that can't be returned, all purchases are final. It's important to note that your preset purchase comes with five video tutorials for how to install, apply, and customize the presets, plus make detail-adjustments like removing lint and stray hairs (without upgrading to the paid version of Lightroom Mobile). With these tools, plus all the before-and-afters we've shared on this page to demonstrate how the presets work, we trust that you'll be able to make an informed decision about whether these presets are right for you, and be able to use the presets in a way you'll enjoy.
